Weightlifting.nyc is owned and operated by Ron Yellin, a personal trainer who specializes in the sport of Weightlifting. As Head Coach of The Armory Barbell Club and owner of CrossFit Greenpoint, Ron has over 10,000 hours of coaching experience. He has coached athletes to the National level in the sport of Weightlifting and prepared athletes for the CrossFit Games. Prior to his time with the barbell, Ron studied Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do under Sifu Dino Orfanos, as well as attended multiple seminars with Sifu Ted Wong and Sifu Chris Kent. Ron's time studying Jeet Kune Do shaped his coaching philosophy to encompass the mind,body, and spirit.

WEIGHTLIFTING Privates and Seminars
Sessions are focused solely on the sport of Weightlifting.
Sessions focus on strength and conditioning and include additional programming and video coaching. Ideal for athletes and individuals who are interested in improving strength and cardiovascular fitness.
personal - boot cAMP
One-on-one thirty minute sessions that focus on high intensity workouts which revolve around bodyweight movements, kettlebells, dumbbells, rings, jump rope, rowing, biking and other simple, but tough, movements.
Custom programming designed for your specific training goals. Offered for Weightlifting, Powerlifting, CrossFit, Strength and Conditioning, and overall health and fitness.
In-house corporate clinics are custom tailored to increase health and wellness in an office environment. We offer training on how to safely use any on-sight gym facilities. as well as mobility and stretching seminars to help improve office related posture and back pain.
The Armory is a USA W certified Weightlifting club. The program runs two tracks, Olympic lifting and Powerlifting. Both programs dabble in the sport of Bodybuilding and CrossFit. Our team is dedicated, strong, and most importantly, fun. We're a tight knit crew and if you're looking for a place to get strong and find support, The Armory is the place to be.
